Man…I am so uncool. I need to make one of these lists-of-things things.

What can I make a list of? Any ideas?

that might start to look something like the “20 worst colleges in california that all the more experienced teachers don’t want to teach at which would increase my chances of actually getting hired there but which should also tell you something about how much you really don’t want to work their either” list.

by which i mean, of course, yes ma’am, right away, ma’am, i’m working on it.

OK – so I’ll resign myself to never seeing my daughter or grandchildren again!! Now I have nothing left to live for!!! Oh woe is me, my life is but an empty shell sitting on a shelf, never again to feel the warmth of the sand against my skin (or whatever you call the outer edge of the shell)

at some point, theoretically, my experience and “time served” will be greater than or equal to enough californian esl teachers that we’ll make it back out there.

either that or we’ll find a place in utah and you’ll have to move up there.

either way, we’re trying to get there. really.
