Last summer, as I was looking for a job to replace the one I had—the one that I knew was going to end in December because the campus had been sold and the program was moving—one lead led me to Las Vegas, NV to interview for a possible high school ESL position. Thankfully, I didn’t get that job.
Since I needed to go there anyways, and what with the whole job-search thing being as stressful as it was, Michelle decided it would be fun to take the whole family and make a nice weekend out of it.
And, of course, by “taking the whole family” she meant me, her, the two kids, her sister, and her two kids. It made for quite the interesting road trip.
We stayed the Gold Coast Hotel, located comfortably south of the strip. One day, as we were heading in from the pool to grab lunch, I looked up. I loved how rich the sky looked, with the sun just peeking over the top of the hotel. So I shot it.
